Ithaka surfing Madeira Island Published In Storm Rider Guide Europe

NOW EXTINCT: (R.I.P): Me at Ponta Delgado aka Shotgun Point on the island of Madeira, Portugal (Storm Rider's Guide Europe/photo: Joâo Valente). This epic and often heavy left point break was completely destroyed because of a ridiculous sea wall that was implemented to 'save' a public swimming pool that was rarely, if ever, used. Thanks to the efforts of Will Henry & Save The Waves and their documentary "Lost Jewel Of The Atlantic" [directed by Jacob Holcomb] - many of the other destructive projects that would have destroyed other spots on the island were redesigned and thus far less damaging. — in Madeira, Portugal.
