Chapultepec, more commonly called the "Bosque de Chapultepec" (Chapultepec Forest) in Mexico City, is one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere, measuring in total just over 686 hectares (1,695 acres). Centered on a rock formation called Chapultepec Hill, one of the park's main functions is to be an ecological space in the vast megalopolis. It is considered the first and most important of Mexico City's "lungs", with trees that replenish oxygen to the Valley of Mexico. The park area has been inhabited and held as special since the Pre-Columbian era, when it became a retreat for Aztec rulers. In the colonial period, Chapultepec Castle would be built here, eventually becoming the official residence of Mexican heads of state. It would remain such until 1940, when it was moved to another part of the park called Los Pinos. Today, the park is divided into three sections, with the first section being the oldest and most visited. This section contains most of the park's attractions including its zoo, the Museum of Anthropology, the Rufino Tamayo Museum, and more. It receives an estimated 15 million visitors per year. This prompted the need for major rehabilitation efforts which began in 2005 and ended in 2010.
El Bosque de Chapultepec es un parque urbano localizado en la delegación Miguel Hidalgo, en el Distrito Federal (México). Es uno de los mayores en su tipo en el hemisferio occidental, con una superficie de 678 ha.1 2 Chapultepec está dividido en tres secciones y alberga algunos de los sitios turísticos más importantes de México, como el Museo Nacional de Antropología. Cuenta con dos lagos artificiales, espacios deportivos y numerosas fuentes. Por todo esto, constituye uno de los lugares más visitados por los capitalinos y por los turistas que llegan a la ciudad de México.
La administración del parque recae directamente en la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente del Distrito Federal (SMA), a través de la Dirección General de Bosques Urbanos. El Bosque de Chapultepec se encuentra incluido desde 2001 en la lista indicativa de los bienes candidatos a ser reconocidos como Patrimonio de la Humanidad en México.

One
CCalifornian-born songwriter, Ithaka, has spent the
majority of his musical career as a vocalist/lyricist, but recent years have
found the multi-faceted nomadic expressionist spending more and time with the composing,
construction and recording of the music itself. Voiceless Blue Raven (his 7th
full-length release) represents the integral transition from being a backseat musical
collaborator on his early vocal releases in the mid-1990's, gradually evolving
into a progressive, cutting-edge ambient hip hop producer and sonic craftsman.
Ithaka, (who is also contemporary artist,
photographer and writer), currently divides his time between Southern
California and Recanto Akahti, his jungle-shack art and music studio in AkahtiLândia, Brazil [state of São Paulo].
